Float the Buffalo...

so up in the ozarks flows the buffalo river.  it boasts spectacular bluffs and peaceful water.  we went memorial day weekend with megs and jimmy.  aren't they cute??

i don't know why it took us 3 years of living here to go canoeing.  the ozarks!  i know!  ponderous.  i assure you it won't be another 3 years before we go back.  the dogs had no idea life was so good.

.
neither did we.

the boys did some fishin'...

the girls did some 'splorin'...

pups went swimming...

eggs and bacon for breakfast...mmmmmmm...

grilled toast, french pressed coffee, strawberry jam, fuh-get about it! it was rustic. amazing. and delicious!

do you know what they do in the south?

"check you for ticks"..

they say, "taters" and "y'all" and "y'alls"...
and why wouldn't they?  are you seeing this??

  2. Looks like a good time was had by everyone! Thanks for sharing your pictures:) Your dogs remind us of ours when we are at the mountains. It takes them a few days once we are home to recover from all of the adventures. Wasn't canoeing awesome? We did that with the kids last year in Maine. It was my first time as well as the kids. I'm really glad they had that experience. It was really relaxing! It's so refreshing to be in the great outdoors. God's creation is so amazing! I hope you can go again soon.
