well, now that the casey anthony trial's over, i'm finally off the couch again! it felt really good to slow down and watch lawyers on tv for hours on end but BOY did it make me tired. i've been going 9-0 since austin left and hardly catching my breath between work, housework, gardenwork, working out...you'd think THAT would make me tired, but au contraire. but back to c.a....is it just me or is she a total sociopath??? to people who dream of having children (and are merely twiddling their thumbs waiting for husbands to come home from deployment and give me the green light), she's a sick, twisted freak. it's going to take more than therapy, a name change and a new appearance to make her life worth living out of prison. but go ahead, adopt a baby with an accent, everything will be just fine. actually, 90% of the country think she's a murderer so i guess it's not just me. not enough evidence??? evidence shmevidence. where's common sense these days?? if we had any of it, the evidence would've been plenty and she'd be close to meeting her Maker. but whatev.
so, as most of you know, and i quickly found out last year...it doesn't rain in little rock during the summer. ever. total rainfall is less than an inch during our hottest, most humid and awful months. it's agony, but somehow i love it. i'd love it even more if we had a sprinkler system installed in all of my flower beds... but i'd rather buy clothes and take vacations! so, tonight i went to visit a friend in the hospital who just had a baby. all day it looked like rain, but no dice. typical. as i'm driving to the hospital it starts to drizzle (false hope, i assure you). to my surprise, as i got on the freeway, it picked up just enough to need my windshield wipers. by the way, they haven't been used since may, or maybe it was the other week in the carwash, but nevermind that. the POINT is, they didn't work. still...i'm fiiiiiiine, this drizzle is still a fake out.....right???
while this is not my windshield, it might as well have been. sorry i didn't think to snap a pic, i was too busy trying to SEE! the wipers didn't work at all and still don't. i guess i better go buy some rain-x. in case you're wondering, i made it home safely. and it barely rained enough to keep me from watering in the morning. fricken a. all that thunder for nuthin'. just my luck.

you said it so well, "evidence shmevidence"!! it was total and utter crap that she was found not guilty...you'd think they would have found her guilty on more than just lying to the police, if they couldn't go all the way with murder one. i wished i could have watched more of the trial, but with the little bit i did watch, i knew she was guilty...such a sick woman she is!! but, we need to move on from it...she will have her day and hopefully this will haunt her for the rest of her life.
ReplyDeletethat's weird about the rain...do you ever get thunderstorms in the summer?? we a doozy the other day, and me, adam, and jillian had just gotten home, so we had to sit in the car and wait it out...it was horrible!! and then we got water in the basement from it, ugh!!
love ya, miss ya!!
lol. thunderstorms are pretty much a spring thing. we get floods and tornadoes and then the rain supply just shuts off and goes "NOPE! no soup for you!"
ReplyDeletei agree it's time to move on. like i said, her life out of jail aint' gonna be no picnic!
can't wait to see you soon!!!!
so here's another seinfeld quote for ya: "no no, no, no" - george
ReplyDeleteexcited to see you soon too :)
