Yawn...

life is boring.....without a husband that is.  for the first 2 months of deployment i couldn't sit down long enough to watch a movie.  movies are what we do together.  and thus, the netflix queue went untouched.  i had our latest choices sitting in their pretty red envelope for weeks on end...collecting dust...and dog hair.  finally i kind of missed falling asleep on the couch, dvd remote in hand.  it's one of the few times i haven't a care in the world.  the house could be burning down around me and life would still be good.  so, i decided to do something about it.  my first choice was:

"imax: hubble" - amazing!  then came:

"temple grandin" - so amazing i bought it on amazon!  followed by:

"the last song", "brothers", "ip man", "secretariat", "dear zachary", "morning glory", "the next 3 days", "charlie st. cloud", "the lincoln lawyer", and sadly, "get him to the greek".  

Okay, not all GREAT choices, but some were worth my time.  i also ventured to the theatre to see "transformers 3" and the LAST (thank goodness) "harry potter"...BOTH of which had trouble keeping my interest.  Suffice it to say, my movie days are reborn!  tonight isn't a movie night though because TONIGHT is kardashian night.  don't hate!  those girls are crazy but they are pretty ALL THE TIME.  and i like to get hair, fashion and makeup inspiration from them...it's the only guilty pleasure i have okay!!  favorite kim k. quote (while heading to a pilates class): "it's like, an easy workout... but you feel it.  so it's not like, annoying, you know?"  lol...priceless.

cat sat

scooped some heart shaped litter piss

baked some yummy muffins

and some roast chicken goodness

went to the dogpark

and got a sweet picture of my grandfather with his family

(he is the second cutie patootie in from the right!!)

  

the stuff i didn't get done is slightly more pressing.  toilets are dirty again.  my shower hasn't been cleaned since long before austin left (gross), the kid car hasn't been vacuumed since april, the dogs need brushed, weeds are growin', gardens need tending to, etc etc etc...i can't believe i'm saying this but i'm actually ready for summer to be over.  i'm ready to be curled up on the couch, with my hubby, a blanket, and my dogs.  napping to the sound of fireplace crackle and counting down the days til our trip to costa rica!  tickets are purchased!  resort is booked!  bathing suits are bought!  adios amigos!
